DATELINE: Rayville, LA—Richland Parish who has owned a Roto-JETTER Culvert Cleaner for just over five years has reported cleaning 30 Culverts in one day with the machine. Not only did Richland Parish clean thiry(30) Culverts In one day but they did it with ONE PAID EMPLOYEE. When Richland Parish purchased the Rota-JETTER they created a new Parish position, “Drainage Supervisor”. The Drainage Supervisor cleans culverts in the hole Parish. That person goes and picks up Prisoners each morning to provide the Labor to operate the machine. They normally check out four labors each day they are cleaning culverts. This does two things for the Parish. 1. They save many thousands of dollars a months using prison labor vs their public works workers. 2. Road workers like this because they NO LONGER have to clean culverts. In fact the Drainage Supervisor doesn't even provide direct labor, he now supervises the prisoners each day. This takes a job that no one wants to do but the culverts still get cleaned and they do not have the water drainage problems they had before. DATELINE: Dayton, TX— Liberty County cleans 20 to 25 culverts in one day. Liberty county purchased there unit in 2002. They use to send out a crew of four or five and they would clean 3 to 5 culverts a day doing the cleaning with out our machine.
